Third Coast Soccer of Mandeville sponsored a Kelly Kicking Cancer Fundraiser Night at their Saturday evening match pitting the Northshore United Football Club against the Mississippi Blues. Outfitted in commemorative kelly-green jerseys provided by Third Coast Soccer for the occasion, the Northshore United FC defeated the Blues 3-0 on the Northlake Christian soccer pitch in Covington, LA.
Zoe Perrin of St. Scholastica Academy, the winner of the 2018 $1,000 Kelly C. O’Mahoney Soccer Scholarship performed the ceremonial pre-game kickoff. Also attending the match was the Furman family. Emma Clair Furman was the recipient of a Kelly C. O’Mahoney Soccer Scholarship in 2016, and Mrs. Hillary Bass, mother of Macayla Bass, a Kelly C. O’Mahoney Soccer Scholarship recipient in 2018. Congratulations girls! May you all have long and successful soccer careers.
Robbie McCray of Third Coast Soccer graciously initiated, planned and expedited the fundraising event. The commemorative kelly-green jerseys worn by the Northshore United FC were sold for additional funds for Kelly Kicking Cancer. In the final tally, Third Coast Soccer donated $1,000 to Kelly Kicking Cancer.
All funds raised go to our mission of eradicating brain cancer via advanced research into the treatment and cure of this deadly disease.
